CLEARYL filter cartridges
The right water is crucial to the taste of the coffee because coffee is in fact 98% water. In addition to calcium, minerals and fluorides, the mains water in many areas contains traces of chlorine, lead, copper and aluminium. Positioned directly in the water tank, the CLEARYL filter cartridge freshly filters the water every time coffee is prepared. It absorbs harmful substances and limescale while preserving the important fluorides. With the optimum water quality, every cup of speciality coffee becomes a taste experience.
Multi-level high-performance grinders
JURA only uses high-quality grinders with low wear and great durability. The cutting angles are ideally tailored to the grinders in question, enabling gentle grinding which perfectly preserves the aroma compounds and the flavour.
The full variety of aromas only comes into its own at the optimum brewing temperature. The fluid system cools down during breaks in beverage preparation, which means a loss of heat between the heating element and brewing unit. In this case, the intelligent preheating feature switches on and compensates for various temperature fluctuations as needed, guaranteeing extraction at the optimum brewing temperature every time.
Before the actual extraction process, the ground coffee is moistened with hot water. The pores swell up and the aroma begins to develop. The Intelligent Pre-Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S.©) adapts the amount of pre-brewing water to the amount of ground coffee selected. As a result, the actual brewing process produces a coffee packed full of flavour, topped off with a velvety soft crema.
The Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P.®) optimises the extraction time for ristretto and espresso by pulsing the hot water at short intervals through the ground coffee, guaranteeing a maximum aroma even for short specialities.
